Minnetrista, Muncie, Indiana
July 6 – August 4, 2007
Description: The Quilters Hall of Fame in Marion, Indiana and Minnetrista, a museum in Muncie, Indiana, invite you to enter their first collaborative juried quilt show. The Quilters Hall of Fame Celebration is an annual honoring of quilts and quilt history that has been taking place in Marion, Indiana since 1992. This year’s contest Quilt Fill Our Lives: An American Legacy seeks to celebrate the enormous contribution American quilters have made to the American cultural scene since the quilt revival of the late 20th century. The theme is wide open to encourage creativity. No kit quilts please. Accepted entries will be exhibited at either the Quilters Hall of Fame of Minnetrista. The exhibit venue will be determined by the QHF Contest Committee.
Eligibility: This national juried exhibit is open to all quilters age 18 and older. The quilt must be made by the person entering it.
Conditions of Entry: Quilts must have been completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at The Quilters Hall of Fame. Entries shall be no larger than 86” on any side and shall consist of three layers of textiles stitched together by needle and thread. All quilts must be submitted ready for installation with a minimum 4” wide finished sleeve sewn across the top back of the quilt. Quilts without sleeves will not be hung. A label must be attached to the back of the quilt. The label must include the quilter’s name, address, phone number, and title of the quilt and should be loosely covered by a piece of fabric, which may be removed after judging takes place.
Entry Fee: The nonrefundable entry fee of $25 entitles the quilter to enter one, two, or three quilts. Payment may be made by check or money order (payable to Minnetrista) or by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
Entry Process: Entry forms, images and entry fee are due by May 15, 2007. Jurying will be done from slides and digital images. Each entry must include either two (2) 35-mm slides or two digital JPG images on a CD-ROM. These images should be as follows:

Label the CD-ROM with the quilter’s name and title(s) of the submitted work(s). All entries may be included on one CD.
No email entries will be accepted.
Notification: Jurying results will be mailed by May 31, 2007. The selection of work for this exhibit is at the sole discretion of the juror. Instructions for delivering or shipping accepted quilts will be included in the notification letter. The quilter will be responsible for the cost of shipping to and from the museum.
