We Honor Our Own
The exhibit of quilts and needlework by Quilters Hall of Fame Honorees will be drawn from The
Quilters Hall of Fame's own collection.

One segment will feature Editor Bonnie Leman. "The quilting world has seen nothing like the
amazing phenomenon of
Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, which holds the record for the longest
running quilt publication, from 1969 to the present day. She began with a portable typewriter, a
first printing of 5,000 and a vision." (from
Quilters Hall of Fame Newsletter, No. 20, Fall 2001)

Just Look At Me Now!
The Marie D. Webster House continues to regally adorn the 900 block of South Washington Street
in Marion, Indiana. The Quilters Hall of Fame has been housed in this queenly structure now for
five years! This exhibit depicts the twelve year restoration journey that took Marie's 1902 home
from "Ugly Duckling" to "Majestic Lady".

Hazel Carter Exhibit

Thirty Years:  Memories and Textiles

This exhibit is a journey of thirty years promoting the art of quilting through the organizations of the
Continental Quilting Congress and the Quilters Hall of Fame.  A quilter herself, Hazel Carter, was the
founder of the two groups.  Her collection of textiles helps tell the stories and memories of those
organizations over those thirty years.  Several quilts were made by Hazel while the remainder are
from her collection.

Exhibit from July 21 through December 15, 2009.
